#motivationmonday 107

Squanto, a Patuxet Native American, was vital to the Pilgrims' survival in 1620. After learning English during time in Europe, he taught the Pilgrims to farm, fish, and thrive in their new land. In 1621, Squanto joined the Wampanoag and Pilgrims in a three-day feast celebrating a successful harvest, now remembered as the first Thanksgiving.
