1. CBS Spotlights McPherson College's Unique Auto Restoration Program
CBS recently featured McPherson College's automotive restoration program in a segment. The nationally broadcast piece highlighted the Kansas institution's singular position as America's only four-year degree program dedicated to automotive restoration. McPherson transforms car-enthusiast students into professionals who blend mechanical expertise with historical research and artistic craftsmanship. Viewers witnessed students bringing classics back to life, including a rare 1953 Mercedes-Benz 300S Cabriolet and a 1965 Porsche 356C, demonstrating how the program equips graduates with the specialized skills needed to preserve automotive history for future generations.

2. McPherson Bullpups Claim Second Straight State Basketball Title
The McPherson Bullpups secured their 15th state championship and second consecutive Class 4A title with a 53-44 victory over Rock Creek Saturday at Tony's Pizza Events Center in Salina. Senior Gabe Pyle, known for his game-winning shots in previous tournament games, energized fans with two thunderous dunks while Junior Jett Pyle contributed 14 points and 7 rebounds. Coach Kinnamon's squad established dominance early with a 15-7 first-quarter lead and never looked back, overcoming significant foul trouble among starters and effectively containing Rock Creek's perimeter shooting. The championship provides a perfect finale for seniors Gabe Pyle, Bishop Brown, Brody Seidel, and Ian Razak, who join the illustrious history of McPherson basketball excellence with back-to-back titles.
