MCPHERSON, Kan. (KAKE) — The McPherson County Courthouse was evacuated briefly on Thursday after a bomb threat. McPherson police say just before 2:45 p.m., an employee at the courthouse received a call saying that a bomb was set to go off in three minutes. Court house employees evacuated the building and McPherson Police Officers, McPherson County Sheriffs Deputies, and McPherson Fire Department, searched the area for anything suspicious. No items were found and the McPherson Police Officers were released by the McPherson County Sheriffs Office at 3:29pm. " The safety and well-being of our community is our priority and we ask everyone to stay vigilant," the department said. "If you SEE or HEAR SOMETHING SUSPICIOUS, PLEASE SAY SOMETHING."
